Swimming season is coming up and I've been putting in work at practice. Early mornings, long sets, lots of flip turns.

Mainly I want to drop time in my events. I also want to actually stick to my training schedule and not psych myself out before races.

what I've been working on

My coach has us doing a ton of threshold sets and technique stuff lately. It's hard but I can tell it's helping. My turns are tighter and my underwaters feel way better than a few months ago.

the mental side

Progress doesn't go in a straight line with swimming. Some days you feel fast, some days you feel like you forgot how to swim. You just gotta keep showing up.
